Frangton holds a BA and BA (Hons) in International Relations from University of Venda, and MA (Research) International Relations from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa. Before joining the Development Policy and Practice, Frangton volunteered for the Institute for Rural Development, worked for Center for Higher Education Teaching and Learning (CHETL), Afrocargo International, and also served as a Postgraduate Teaching Assistance.
Frangton research interests lies on the Rising Powers 'clean' energy infrastructure investments and the development implications for bottom of the pyramid populations in Africa.
