Based at the University of Edinburgh and the Open University, Innogen works collaboratively with industry, scientists, policy makers and the public – in a global context.

 

Asian drivers network

Together with a global community of researchers , Development Policy and Practice (DPP) is in engaged in a research programme exploring the impact of China and India – The Asian Drivers – on the developing world.

 

IKD (Centre for Innovation, Knowledge and Development)

DPP is a founding member of the university-wide research centre, IKD which brings together academics from all the main faculties. 

 

ACTS (African Centre for Technology Studies)

DPP collaborate with the African Centre for Technology Studies (ACTS) – a regional think-tank, research and training organisation, based in Nairobi for various development projects in Africa. 

 

Pro-poor inclusive innovation

DPP, IKD and INNOGEN researchers at the Open University are engaged in an exciting and path-breaking research programme which focuses on the ways in which innovation can be guided to enhance not only the rate of economic growth, but also the trajectory of growth in ways which benefit the global poor and in meeting the challenges of the Millennium Development Goals.
